GFDS welcomed student Sonja Minke from Germany for a 6 week placement through April and May. Sonja joined us as part of the Integration through Exchange programme organised by the Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz.
Following the completion of a diploma in Geography and Geo-Ecology, with a thesis specialising in the European Water Directive, Sonja was perfectly suited to join GFDS to help with our research into the Eastern European market.
Over the 6 week placement Sonja successfully researched these potential markets, putting together an in depth report for our Commercial Director to use moving forward in our expansion. As part of the role Sonja also attended a UKTI event in London hosted by British Water, the event was centred on opportunities in the water sectors in central and Eastern Europe.
GFDS now wish Sonja well in her new employment back home in Germany and the best of luck with any future studies!
